Senior Architect – Paul Fermano

Paul Fermano is Senior Architect at Sorensen Partners, with 55+ years of experience in the design and construction administration of complex Public, Educational, Multi-family Housing, Library, Civic and Commercial new construction and renovation projects. Paul excels at design, detailing, ADA plan review and compliance, green roof and sustainable design, and construction administration. He is highly experienced in construction contract administration, focusing on design-build problem-solving to keep schedules on track and limit change orders.

Paul started his career as a draftsman at Spacemakers, a Dedham based pre-fab home builder, and in the office of J. Glenn Hughes. He served in the Navy Reserve Seabees with the MCB 40 Engineers and Architects, and was trained as a heavy equipment operator. Paul has worked at several large architectural firms in Boston and Cambridge as Project Architect, Project Manager, and Construction Administrator. He has been architect for single family homes, public housing, multifamily residential rehabs and new construction, hotels, and correction facilities.

Paul is an experienced technical Architect and is competent in CAD and construction technology. His expertise includes specification writing, construction administration, accessibility, and public bidding.  Paul manages all aspects of client projects, from project management and engineering coordination to programming, interior and exterior design, estimate coordination, and construction administration.
