Cambridge Public Library Central Square Branch – Main Floor Improvements – Cambridge, MA

Sorensen Partners was Interior Designer and Furniture Consultant for new collaborative work space and reading areas for patrons on the main floor of the Central Square Branch of the Cambridge Public Library. Replacing a traditional grouping of study carrels, the new collaborative space provides varied ways to sit and work collaboratively. A new ‘technology table’ for printers, scanners, and public access computers is the first piece of this project.

Later phases shown in the renderings below are additional improvements to be discussed and approved in the City’s participatory budgeting process.
