SALTONSTALL BUILDING – SENIOR HOUSING CONDITION REPORT – MEDFORD HOUSING AUTHORITY –MEDFORD, MA

Sorensen Partners was the lead architectural consultant for Medford Housing Authority in 2020 preparing a comprehensive property condition report for the 200-unit 11-story Saltonstall Building, located at 121 Riverside Avenue, Medford, MA. Sorensen Partners worked with sub-consultants CHA Companies Inc. (cost estimator) and BLW Engineers (plumbing and fire protection engineer) to prepare this report detailing the existing conditions and immediate capital needs for the property. 

The report includes building exterior and envelope, doors, windows and storefront, walls and ceilings, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, specialties, plumbing and fire protection, elevators, stairs and ramps, HVAC, waste disposal, electrical, demolition and construction, accessibility, and hazardous materials, as well as a cost estimate prepared by Sorensen Partners. 

The report and cost estimates were used by Medford Housing Authority to apply for rehabilitation funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
